The call has been made during an orientation meeting by Parents and Child Health Initiative (PACHI) with the leaders currently underway which targets to end cases of GBV in ten Traditional Authorities in the district.
PACHI District Coordinator Carlos Msosa believes these leaders have the capacity to influence greater change as they frequently meet with the people.
And the leaders have admitted that the platforms have not been well used to disseminate gender based violence related issue.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Wisikes Jeremiah of Mibawa Mosque and Chipojora in the Traditional Authority Mlomba welcome the initiative and promise to make good use of the platforms in ending GBV cases.
PACHI is implementing Social Behaviour Change Project with funding from UNICEF under the Spotlight Initiative that has 41 secondary school benefiting.
